At the Kokomo Speedway, there are General Rules and Divisional Rules.
Please ensure that you have read and are familiar with both the General Rules as well as the Rules for your division.
There are also Race Procedures for each Division. Please make sure that you have read and are familiar with the Race Procedures for your
division. (Procedures posted under rules section).
If there is ever a question about a rule, please see your Pit Steward or a Kokomo Speedway Racing Official.
1. CONDITIONS
A. No alcoholic beverages or controlled substances are to be consumed before or during races by anyone entering the pit area.
B. Kokomo Speedway officials reserve the right to reject or allow the entry of any driver or car.
C. Rule changes or interpretation of rules is at the discretion of track officials.
D. The decision of track officials is final.
E. Suspensions will be strictly enforced for fighting or any other acts the management of Kokomo Speedway deem inappropriate. Any actions that need be
will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
2. DRIVER/CREW MEMBER CONDUCT
A. Physical Altercations in the pits or on the speedway premises at any time is prohibited and subject to suspension or exclusion. Anyone involved in any
form of a physical altercation with a speedway employee will be suspended indefinitely and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
1st Offense
If you are involved in any physical altercation, you will be suspended for a minimum of the next four racing events. In an addition of the suspension, you will
be required to pay a minimum fine of $500.00 before being allowed on the speedway property.
2nd Offense
If you are involved in a second physical altercation during the racing season, you will be suspended for a minimum of one year from date of this incident. In
an addition of the suspension, you will be required to pay a minimum fine of $1000.00 before being allowed on the speedway property
B. The driver assumes responsibility for the actions of his or her pit crew at all times on speedway property. Drivers will be issued the following penalties for
pit crew misconduct. If any of the driver’s crew is involved in a physical altercation, you will be fined a minimum of $250.00 for each crewmembers actions.
You will not be allowed to compete at the speedway until the fine or fines are paid in full.
C. Abuse of any Kokomo Speedway official and use of improper language or obscene gestures at any time is prohibited and subject to following penalties.
1st Offense
You will be escorted from speedway grounds, and suspended from one week of racing activities. Also you will be fined a minimum of $100.00, before being
allowed on the speedway grounds.
2nd Offense
If are involved in a second incident during the race season, you will be escorted from speedway grounds, and suspended for four weeks of racing activities.
Also you will be fined a minimum of $500.00, before being allowed on the speedway grounds.
3rd Offense
If are involved in a third incident during the race season, you will be escorted from speedway grounds, and suspended for one year of racing activities from
the date of this incident. Also you will be fined a minimum of $1000.00, before being allowed on the speedway grounds.
D. Un-sportsmanlike driving, rough driving, or unnecessary bumping is prohibited and will result in removal from a race. If you are disqualified during any
event for rough driving, the following penalties will result from these actions.
1st Offense
You will forfeit all prize money and points for that evening and be suspended from the speedway grounds for the next racing event.
2nd Offense
You will forfeit all prize money and points for that evening and be suspended from the speedway grounds for the next four racing events. Also you will have
to pay a fine of a minimum of $250.00 before being allowed on the speedway property.
3rd Offense
You will forfeit all prize money and points for that evening and be suspended from the speedway grounds for one year from the date of this offense. Also you
will have to pay a fine of a minimum of $500.00 before being allowed on the speedway property.
3. RACING RULES
A. At no time shall any non-competing member, crew member, owner or other person associated with a race car be permitted on the racing surface
following the start of a race and prior to the final lap without the express permission of a Speedway official. Failure to do so could lead to immediate removal
from speedway property. This rule is in place for your crewmembers safety.
B. Kokomo Speedway officials reserve the right to request a doctor’s release at any time, for a said driver to participate at Kokomo Speedway.
C. Driver and car changes are permitted only prior to the official start of a race. The official start of a race is when the field enters the track. When
determining the official start, one lap does not have to be completed. However, scoring for position does not begin until one green flag lap has been
completed. All cars will need to enter the track under their own power to get start money and points. After that point, no change of drivers is permitted.
Driver changes may occur only if the driver is qualified for that said race. Any drivers making a change will go to the tail of the field. Points earned will be
awarded to the driver starting the race. If a driver wishes to change cars prior to the event start, only the driver or crew chief is allowed to inform the official in
the pit tower of the change prior to the start of the race. If this does not occur, the driver will forfeit all points and payout earned in the event. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
D. On a yellow or red flag that happens on the start of a race, any car(s) that enter the pits will go to the tail of the field, even though a lap has not been
completed. All repairs or adjustments to cars must be made in the pits. This includes portions of the race run under yellow or red flag conditions. Violation
will result in the car being placed at the rear of the field.
E. Cars may only enter the track from the backstretch, as directed from the pit steward.
F. No electronic communication devices are permitted within the car.
G. If a driver refuses the officials order to take a certain position on the track (i.e. go to the back of the field), resulting in a delay of the race, he/she will be
penalized one lap or will be Black-flagged.
H. When the black flag has been displayed to a racecar, scoring of the car shown the flag will stop until the car returns to the track from the pits after the
required consultation.
I. A driver meets rookie qualifications for his/her division if he/she raced in six or fewer races in a single previous season in that division.
G. All Kokomo Speedway drivers must be a minimum of 14 years of age to compete.
TIRES:
-Front & left rear are open tire.
-Hoosier DT3 will be the only tires allowed on the right rear.
-All drivers must wear flame retardant uniforms, gloves, head socks, shoes and SNEL approved safety helmets.
-All drivers must use double over the shoulder harness, lap belt, crotch strap and arm restraints. Side nets and neck collars suggested.
NOTE: USAC requires a head and neck restraint device.
-Kneepads and roll bar padding suggested.
-Metal wheel covers must be bolted on with bead locks.
-All cars must have an 18” number on both sides of the car.
-No overhead cam type motors will be allowed. Only those cylinder heads having no more than one exhaust and one intake valve per cylinder will be allowed.
All drivelines must have a driveline loop or restraint. No open drivelines allowed.
-Mark your on and off switch clearly!
-Anytime a car is fired off; driver must have their helmet on. No radios or mirrors.
-Your car must look like a traditional sprint car.

The definition of stock is no modifications to factory parts or specifications. The absence of a specific rule does not imply approval, consent or
permission regarding that subject. Any and all questions regarding such matters should be directed to a Kokomo Speedway official.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
1) SFI-approved full fire suit is required.
2) Fire retardant gloves and shoes are mandatory.
3) Neck brace or head and neck restraint system is recommended.
4) Driver-side window net required, minimum 16 inch by 20 inch ribbon or mesh style, and must be mounted to roll cage so latch is at top front of window.
5) Snell-rated SA2000, SA2005 or SA2010 helmet required.
6) Minimum three inch wide SFI-approved five point safety belt assembly required (Y-type shoulder harness not allowed), must be mounted securely to roll
cage, recommended to be no more than two years old. It is the responsibility of the driver, not the officials or the track to ensure that his/her seat belt
restraint system and all components are SFI approved, correctly installed, maintained and properly used.
7) Kill switch required within easy reach of driver and must be clearly marked ‘OFF’ and ‘ON’.
8) Roll bar padding required in driver compartment (Fire retardant recommended).
9) Cars must have fire extinguisher in reach of the driver.
ELIGIBLE CARS
1) All cars must be American-made passenger cars with a minimum wheelbase of 107 inches.
2) The same corporation that built the car must build the engine. For example, if a Chevrolet engine is used in another GM product, the engine must mount in
the stock Chevrolet location.
ENGINE and TRANSMISSION SPECIFICATIONS
1) No aluminum heads or block.
2) Cars with Roller Cams must add +50 pounds of weight in front on the motor plate.
3) Aluminum intake is permitted.
4) Any gasoline carburetor - 1 only.
5) Any ignition system permitted.
6) Engine must not set back any further than #1 spark plug with front ball joint.
7) Automatic or manual transmission permitted.
8) No quick-change transmission or rear end.
9) One drive shaft loop is mandatory but two loops are recommended. The loop must be must be mounted 12 inches behind transmission, under drive shaft.
The drive shaft must be painted white.
WEIGHT
1) 3000 LBS with 500cfm 4412 two barrel carburetor.
2) 3200 LBS with four barrel carburetor.
3) +100 LBS with STOCK appearing aluminum body.
SUSPENSION
1) The following parts must remain stock, in stock location, unaltered and OEM for the make and model of the car: *Frame*Hubs*Spindles*Steering
Linkage*Control Arms Ford and Chrysler products must have stock frames for that models year. Example: Strut cars must run struts.
2) Spring adjusters or jacking bolts are permitted.
3) After market racing springs and racing shocks may be used.
4) Any OEM type rear housing permitted but must remain in stock wheelbase location. Trailing arms & springs must be in factory or stock position. Floater
axles are permitted.
5) No brake adjuster, four working brakes are mandatory.
6) Tubular upper A-arms permitted.
7) Rear suspension components used must be OEM to the exact make and model of car.
WHEELS
1) Steel racing wheels up to eight inches maximum width are allowed.
2) No aluminum or mag wheels or homemade wheels are allowed.
3) One inch lug nuts are mandatory on both sides of the vehicle.
4) Bead locks are allowed.
TIRES
1) Hoosier E mod tire. D, H, or A compounds.
2) 8" American Racer Tire.
3) No Grooving, No Siping, No Treating.
BODY, INTERIOR and FRAME
1) All cars must have complete bodies using original type body parts. Body dimensions must remain as factory produced.
2) All body panels must be securely fastened or welded at all times. Wire ties or plastic are not permitted.
3) All body parts must be made of steel or aluminum. Plastic noses may be used.
4) Windshield rock screens with 3 bars are mandatory.
5) High back, wrap-around aluminum racing seats are mandatory. Seat is to be securely fastened to the frame or roll cage. The tubing is to be a minimum of
one inch.
6) All front and rear bumpers must be safety chained to the frame or hoop bar. Each bumper must have a towing chain attached.
7) Hoods and trunk lids must be securely fastened with a pin type fastener or other approved method, excluding bolts and chains.
8) Bodies must be in stock location.
9) Maximum of an 8 inch spoiler.
10) Any battery that is mounted inside the driver’s compartment must be completely enclosed in a marine-type box, with a lid and mounted securely.
11) All ballast (lead) must be painted white with the car number in a contrasting color. If lead is lost on the track, the responsible car will be black-flagged.
FUEL
1) Pump gas/racing fuel only. No alcohol, methanol or nitrous oxide permitted.
2) No electric fuel pumps.
3) Fuel cell mandatory. Maximum 22-gallon capacity. Two - one inch steel safety straps must be completely around fuel cell, top-front-bottom-rear.
4) Fuel cell must have twelve inches of ground clearance.
ROLL CAGE
1) All cars must have a complete four-post roll cage welded to the frame and must be inspected by a tech official.
2) Main cage must be made of 1 1/2 inch O.D. seamless steel tubing with no less than a .095-inch wall thickness.
3) No bars shall protrude through windshield, windows, or body panels.
4) All cars must have a minimum of three door bars on the left side and 2 door bars on the right side.
5) Critical joints of the driver's side must have gusset plates. The driver's door bars should have 1/8 inch steel doorplates.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
1) An approved complete racing fire suit and fireproof gloves is required. Fireproof shoes, and neck collar are highly recommended.
2) A helmet of Snell 2000 or higher quality is mandatory. Full-face helmet is strongly recommended.
3) All cars must have approved safety belts consisting of shoulder harness, lap belts and crotch belt. These belts must fasten directly to the frame of the
cage, not the floor pan.
4) Roll bar padding is mandatory around the driver's compartment. NO substitutions.
5) Window nets are mandatory.
6) Batteries must be securely fastened. No rubber straps or elastic cords. Batteries inside driver's compartment must be securely fastened in metal or
plastic battery
box and must be covered to prevent spills.
7) On board fire extinguishers are mandatory.
8) One drive shaft loop is mandatory but two loops are recommended. The loop must be must be mounted 12 inches behind transmission, under drive shaft.
The drive shaft must be painted white.
9) All ballast (lead) must be painted white with the car number in a contrasting color. If lead is lost on the track, the responsible car will be black-flagged.
Stock Front Clip Cars:
Stock Front Clip cars will be allowed to run in the Street Stock class under the following rule package to start the season. These rules maybe adjusted by
the track at anytime for competitive balance.
All cars must adhere to Indiana Super Stock Rear Suspension rules.

- Minimum 108 inch wheelbase
- 3300 LBS with any Carburetor
- DOT Tires only (No Hoosier or American Racer tires allowed)
- No Roller Cams
- No open rear bodies, rear panel must be solid from deck lid down 18 inches in height.
CAR NUMBERS
1) Numbers with letters are allowed. Make the letter is large enough to be seen from the tower.
2) Numbers must measure minimum of 22 inches high by a minimum of 15 inches in width. The thickness of the number must be no less than 3 inches.
3) Color of the number must be contrasting with the car color.
4) Numbers must be located on both doors and the roof of the car. Put the roof number so it can be read from the tower when the car is in the front stretch.
5) Car number above the right rear bumper is recommended.
6) The car must be washed prior to each night's events. Throughout the night if the number becomes covered with mud it must be washed before participating
in the
next event so the scoring team can read the number.

The purpose of this division is to provide an inexpensive way for a beginner to get into stock car racing.
1. All thunder cars must be strictly stock for make and model of car.
2. Top five may be weighed immediately after the feature.
3. Inspections may be made at anytime at the discretion of track officials.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT

BODY
1. The stock steel unaltered floor pan, stock front firewall will be used only. Stock wheel wells must be retained in rear.
2. No holes in the hood, roof or trunk lid. Hood will be kept in place at all times. All stock sheet metal will be mounted on car at all times.
3. All doors and body panels will be welded together.
4. A complete firewall must seal trunk from drivers compartment. 16 Ga. Sheet metal min.
5. The only modifications to the floor pan, firewall or trunk floor are for repair of rust areas or to install fuel cell in trunk. All holes in driver's compartment
must be covered with minimum of 16Ga. Sheet metal.
*Fuel cell will be mounted in trunk area, between frame rails. Stock gas tank will be removed.
*Fuel cell must be above center line of differential housing or 12" above ground, whichever is higher.
*Max. 22 Gal. fuel cell.
6. Trunk floor may be cut to accommodate fuel cell. Minimum of 2-12 GA. 1 ½" safety straps.
7. No spoilers allowed.
8. Aftermarket nose and tail panel permitted.
9. Stock style bumper only if nose and tailpiece are not used. Bumper will be securely attached in place in stock location welded to frame rails. No front or
rear
bumper shocks allowed.
10. Ballast will be allowed, but must be bolted to frame or to cross member rails. All ballast will be painted white with number of car in contrasting color.
11. No Uni Bodies.
WEIGHT
1. 3200 LBS with 500cfm 4412 two barrel carburetor
2. 3400 LBS with OEM four barrel carburetor
WINDSHIELD AND GLASS
1. All glass, headlights, tail lights must be removed prior to arrival at the track.
2. No broken glass shall be in the car. Car must be swept clean.
3. Full 3/8" bars minimum, in front of driver. 4 bars minimum. 3/8 solid bars with wire mesh.
ENGINE/BLOCK
1. Engine block will be stock O.E.M. small block passenger car, for make and model of car.
*No 400+ engines. 350 C.I. Small block only for make and model of car. 350 C.I. Ford, 360 C.I. Chrysler
*Block numbers will be checked. All blocks will have legible numbers
2. Stock from carburetor oil pan.
3. Aftermarket air filter permitted.
4. Engine will be mounted in stock O.E.M. position.
5. Stock rear transmission mounts only, with stock transmission mount cross member, bolted to frame.
6. Must idle stock - 850 RPM maximum
7. No engine swapping between make and model of car
8. No external vacuum canisters.
9. The maximum engine over bore permitted will be .040 on the 360 Chrysler engine. On Chevrolet, Ford and 340 Chrysler, the maximum over bore
permitted
will be .060.
* 1. Chevrolet engines will be permitted a maximum displacement of 360.4 c.i.d.
* 2. Ford engines will be permitted a maximum displacement of 362 c.i.d.
* 3. 360 Chrysler engines will be permitted a maximum displacement of 367 c.i.d.
CYLINDER HEADS
Steel stock heads only. No after-market, bowtie, or aluminum heads. No port work allowed. No roller rockers. Stock for make and model of car.
INTAKE MANIFOLD
Must be strictly stock for make and model of car. Cast iron intake manifold only. No high-rise truck, marine type, or bowtie intakes allowed. No porting or
polishing of any kind allowed. You will pull carburetor to inspect intake at track official's discretion.
EXHAUST
OEM cast iron exhaust manifolds only. No center dump type manifolds. Exhaust must extend past firewall and turn towards ground. Maximum two inch
O.D. exhaust pipes. Must remain dual exhaust, no crossover or ‘Y’ pipes. No exhaust sensors, no center-dump manifolds allowed on Chevrolet. No
Headers allowed
CARBURETOR
Carburetor must be stock O.E.M. for make and model of car.
*O.E.M. carburetors for Ford and Chrysler products, for make and model of car will be allowed if Fomoco or Mopar is molded on carburetor body, for make
and model of car.
*Holley 2 BBL - 4412 - 500 C.F.M., with stock 1.378" maximum venture bore allowed.
*4 BBL to 2 BBL adapter allowed, 1" height maximum.
*No double pump carburetors allowed.
*After market filters allowed as long as it will not require cutting hole in hood to fit on motor.
FUEL SYSTEM
1. Stock manual fuel pump mounted in stock location on engine. Must shut off fuel supply to engine when engine is not running.
2. No electric fuel pumps allowed.
3. All fuel lines routed through drivers compartment will be enclosed inside rigid tubing from bending rear firewall through front firewall and sealed at both
ends.
4. No E85 allowed in thunder cars.
ELECTRICAL/BATTERY
1. No dual point distributors.
2. Stock coil in stock location, must use stock distributor.
3. Battery must be securely mounted inside plastic battery safety box.
*Plastic battery case will be securely mounted to frame or roll cage bars behind driver's seat.
*Battery box top will be securely mounted to battery box.
4. Battery lines running from battery through front firewall will be mounted in flexible tubing, i.e. garden hose, etc. and sealed at both ends.
5. Ground wire will be directly to frame or roll bar.
TRANSMISSION
1. OEM automatic transmission only. All components must be replaceable by OEM components and in stock location. Torque converter must be a steel
case functional torque converter with all elements with a minimum of 10-3/16” outside diameter. Converter must have a 1/8” drain plug on outside of
converter. Converter temperature and fluid volume may be measured to ensure compliance. Converter must be as warm or warmer than transmission.
Converter when drained must measure a volume no less than three (3) quarts. Cooler lines must be blocked off before draining converter for measurement.
Addition of material to increase stock converter diameter is illegal. All transmissions must have an operating forward, neutral, park and reverse. All
transmissions must be able to stop and idle in gear. A functioning shifter must work and be in stock location. No lock-up type converters allowed.
Automatic transmissions will not be allowed to have any wires, cables, or attachments other than shifting linkage and hydraulic fluid lines installed for
cooler.
2. No GM Powerglide Transmissions allowed.
3. Drive shaft must be painted white.
4. Drive shaft hoop mandatory under drive shaft 6" to 8" behind transmission tail shaft. No chains.
COOLING SYSTEM
1. Stock radiator in stock location.
2. Aluminum or plastic radiator allowed.
3. No electric fans.
REAR END DIFFERENTIAL
1. Post traction limited slip, locked or welded, spider gears allowed.
2. 9" Ford rear end differentials allowed in non-Ford cars. Floaters will be allowed.
BRAKES
1. No altering of stock brakes allowed.
2. Brake pedal must remain in stock location.
3. Cars must have fully functional brakes on all four wheels.
4. Rear disc brakes allowed. Brake assemblies must be in stock location on all four corners.
5. No brake bias or proportional valve permitted.
6. One O.E.M. master cylinder only for make and model of car.
FRAMES
1. Body and frames must be O.E.M. stock for make and model of car in O.E.M. location. No switching or shifting of any body parts allowed.
2. Complete bumper-to-bumper O.E.M. stock frame for make and model of car other than repairs needed to repair areas due to rust or damage.
3. Repairs to stub must retain exact O.E.M. measurements for make and model of car.
4. A four-post roll cage must be used with three door bars on driver's door. Driver's door must have 1/8" steel plate on door bars. Minimum of two bars on
passenger side of car.
5. Cage can be braced, rearward to the frame where it starts to kick up over the rear end. Bars may be added from firewall forward to protect frame and
radiator. Front firewall, front or rear hoods optional.
SUSPENSION
1. O.E.M. stock suspension only for make and model of car. Front A-frames and rear suspension arms, O.E.M. stock for make and model of car.
2. No coil-over, overload, cargo ratchet or air assisted shocks permitted.
3. Racing shocks permitted must fit in same brackets as O.E.M. stock front and rear, for make and model of car.
4. Racing springs allowed, must maintain stock O.E.M. frame and body heights for make and model of car.
5. Metric cars can reinforce O.E.M. upper A-frames only.
6. No lift bars or recovery shocks or spring recoils allowed.
7. No screw jacks.
WHEELS
1. Reinforce racing type wheels mandatory. Right rear bead lock only.
2. Maximum wheel width is 8".
3. One-inch lug nuts are mandatory.
4. Any loss of tire and or tire & wheel requires a driver to find safety or pull off of racing surface to infield or exit track immediately.
TIRES
1. No grooving, sipping or soaking allowed.
2. Absolutely no racing tires, disguised as DOT street tires allowed.
3. Must run 70 series DOT approve, 15" DOT name brand tires on 8 " wide rim (maximum).
4. Maximum tire is 255 - 70 - 15.
GAS TANK INSTALLATION
1. Fuel cell mandatory. 18 gallon maximum capacity. Bracing in trunk permitted.
2. Fuel cell will be mounted in trunk area, between frame rails with 1 ½" clearance on all four sides. Minimum of two 12 GA X 1 ½" wide safety strapping,
mandatory for safety.
3. Trunk floor may be cut to accommodate fuel cell.
4. O.E.M. fuel tank will be removed.
5. No electrical fuel pumps allowed.
6. Fuel line from trunk to the engine compartment must be steel or steel braided. No copper or rubber allowed. Any fuel line run through drivers
compartment will be enclosed in rigid tubing from inside trunk area to inside engine compartment will be sealed at both ends.
7. Tech inspector must approve installation.
8. Fuel cell will be a minimum of 12" above ground or above center line of rear end differential housing, whichever is higher.
RACE CARS SUBJECT TO BEING PUMPED
Any race car entered, whether running the A Main or not, and regardless of whether otherwise disqualified is subject to being pumped. This usually will
include, but is not limited to, pumping the top three (3) finishers in the feature race, plus one other feature finisher drawn from positions 1-10.
PUMPING PROCEDURE
1. After the feature race, a track official will notify the drivers of the relevant race cars that their race cars are to be pumped. The drivers of the race cars to
be pumped shall then proceed directly to the area designated for inspection and tear down. The track officials will then proceed with the pumping as
follows:
2. The track official will advise the driver which cylinder will be pumped.
3. The selected cylinder will be pumped, using the appropriate P&G gauge, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
4. The reading obtained will be multiplied by eight (8), to get the total cubic inches of the engine.
SAFETY
1. A four-post roll cage must be used with three door bars on driver's door. Driver's door must have 1/8" steel plate on door bars. Window net on driver's
side is mandatory. Two bars on passenger side only.
2. Cage can be braced, rearward to the frame where it starts to kick up over the rear end. Bars may be added from firewall forward to protect frame and
radiator. Front firewall, front or rear hoods optional.
3. All drivers must use approved 5-point safety harness and crotch belt. The tech inspector must approve all seat belt installation. None shall be more than
5 years old.
4. Driver's suit and safety helmet mandatory. Helmet must have a Snell rating of 2000 or newer. Racing shoes and gloves are mandatory. Full racing suit
required. Must be approved by track tech.
5. Always stay in car with helmet and seat belts on. Do not get out of car during race unless you have a fire.
6. If hood rises during a race, go to infield immediately.
7. Drive shaft and all ballast must be painted white with number of car in contrasting color. Drive shaft hoop mandatory under drive shaft 6" to 8" behind
transmission tail shaft. No chains.
CAR NUMBERS
1. Numbers with letters are allowed. Make the letter large enough to be seen from the tower.
2. Numbers must measure minimum of 22" high by a minimum of 15" wide. The thickness of the number must be no less than 3".
3. Color of the number must be contrasting with the car color.
4. Numbers must be located on both doors and roof of the car. Put the roof number so it can be read from the tower when the car is in the front stretch.
5. Car number above the right rear bumper is recommended.
6. The car must be washed prior to each night's event. Throughout the night, if the number becomes covered with mud, it must be washed before
participating in the next event so the scoring team can read the number.
7. If you are caught cheating after a race, you will be disqualified for the night. You will lose winnings and points for the event. If you are caught cheating a
second time, you will be barred for two weeks and lose all points for the year.

Membership
Any driver competing at the speedway during a point-paying event must have a Kokomo Speedway Membership Card.
Cost of this card is $20.00 for the 2009 season.
Must present this card at driver registration & driver payout. (No Card = No Pay)
If the card is lost, one replacement card will be furnished for free. All replacement cards from that point will cost $10.00.
Safety
The speedway highly recommends some form of a head & neck restraint system.
Transponders
An AMB Tran X260 Transponder is required.
You may rent a transponder for the race event at a cost of $20.00, with a driver’s license for deposit. You will receive you drivers license back at payout.
Transponders are available for purchase through the speedway.
Group Qualifying
You will qualify in group sessions, based off current point standings.
The first group will receive 5 laps; all groups there after will receive 4 laps. Your best lap of the session will be your official qualifying time.
A maximum of 6 cars will be allowed in a session.
Race Format
All heat races and A Main will have an inversion of 6 based on qualifying times.
B Main(s) will start straight up, based on time trials. B Main(s) transfer cars will receive there time back for the A Main.
Heat Races are 8 Laps
B Main(s) are 12 Laps
A Mains are 25 Laps
Typically a maximum of 20 cars will start the A Main.
Kokomo Speedway officials due to time or car count factors may shorten races.
Yellow Flags
If you are involved in an accident & stop on the speedway at any time, you will be placed at the tail for the restart. If you are involved in 2 yellow flags
during one race event, you will be disqualified from that event. If you are involved in a caution on the initial start, you will not receive your original starting
spot back. You will go to the tail.
Red Flags
All red flags are closed unless instructed by speedway officials.
If reds are opened, no more than two crew members allowed on the speedway per car.
No adding of fuel at any time.
If you change a tire you will have to restart at the tail.
Starts and Restarts
Jumping on initial start of any event.
The front row will have two chances to start a race. If either driver jumps both of these starts, the entire front row goes to the tail for the next attempt.
Restarts
All restarts are single file, nose to tail to the restart cone on the front stretch. If you knock over the restart cone you will be placed at the tail. If you contact
the driver in front of you & he hits the cone, you will be placed at the tail.
Flat Tires
During the A Main you will receive 3 laps under caution to change the flat. Work area will be at the exit of the speedway in turn 1. This is for the A Main
only. You can attempt to change a flat during heats & the B main but will not receive these 3 courtesy laps. If you get the tire changed in these events
before the race resumes you will be allowed to continue, but we will not wait for you to complete the work.

-Tread Width 64in to outside of tire max.
-Wing any wing not outside of tires.
-Weight 750lbs minimum.
-No nerf bars or bumpers outside of tires.
-Safety of cars and drivers subject to the racetrack tech inspector.
