MACEDO TAKES USAC INDIANA MIDGET CHAMPIONSHIP

Carson Macedo of Lemoore, Calif. is USAC’s 2016 Indiana Midget Champion after finishing eighth in last Friday night’s 25-lap series finale at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway. He concluded the campaign with a 10-point cushion over teammate Tanner Thorson.

Chris Windom of Canton, Ill. led all 25 laps to win Friday night's "Kokomo Klash X" USAC Indiana Midget feature at Kokomo. Driving the Baldwin Brothers Racing Fox Paving Spike/Gaerte, he was followed at the checkered flag by Dave Darland, Thorson, Gage Walker and Holly Shelton.

Macedo compiled a pair of seconds, a fourth and an eighth to claim his initial USAC racing title.
